FOODIE FRIDAY! Dinner at Toledo Tapas, Steak & Seafood in the Grand Destino Tower

I had part of my stay at Coronado Springs this past trip in November, and I was treated to dinner at my resort by my very dear friend Beatrice.

While we waited for our table to be ready, we strolled into the Dahlia Lounge which is right there on the same upper floor in the Grand Destino Tower.

The accent lighting on the ceiling is very pretty!

The bar is beautiful!!

I loved these small tables in the bar.
They were marble or some kind of stone.

Before we get on to dinner, do you know the relationship between Walt Disney and Salvador Dali?  No?  Well, pull up an chair.

In 1946 two of the 20th century’s most whimsical figures—Walt Disney and Salvador Dalí—formed an unlikely partnership. The pair united to create a short, *Fantasia-*esque animated film, called Destino (This is where the Tower gets its name). Though the project was not finished during their lifetimes, their friendship endured for many years.
The personal and professional relationship between the American entrepreneur and the Spanish Surrealist is the subject of a new exhibition at the Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco, titled “Disney and Dalí: Architects of the Imagination.” Curated by filmmaker Ted Nicolaou, the show features original paintings, correspondence, story sketches, photos, and ephemera that illustrate the creative commonalities between these two visionaries. Accompanied by an audio guide narrated by actress Sigourney Weaver, “Disney and Dalí”  traveled to the Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida, in January 2016.

This dinner-only dining location is beautiful, and the food was amazing!  Here are some of the photos from my experience that evening.

This is the entry into the restaurant

"Dine on tapas, seafood and steak in style at this Spanish haven inspired by surrealist art and the 1930s avant-garde".

I have been on a Rose kick lately, and this one was very good!

I had the Hanger Steak, which was absolutely as delicious as it was a vision!!!  Art on a plate, as only Salvador Dali would do it if he were a chef.
