Making Your Own Avatar in Pandora! by Guest Author Cathy Cole

Today we have a special guest and very long-time friend of mine Cathy Cole.  Cathy and I went all through school together from K-12!  That's a long time!!  We did not see each other again until 2012, when we got to spend the day together at Hollywood Studios.

Cathy lives in Florida,  she has purchased her first Disney Annual Pass and she is taking advantage of it frequently.  Her latest adventure has taken her to Pandora, the World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom.  She made the decision to treat herself to something in the gift shop, her own Avatar!

Cathy tells us:

One experience you can have (souvenir you can purchase) is that you can have your face scanned in a 3D scan, and have your facial features blended with those of a Navi, and a new Navi will be created with your features; you can help design it by choosing the stripes, eye color, hair, and Navi body. #Pandora, #AK, #WDW.

You make an appointment to do the face scan and choose eye color and hair and such. You go at your appointed time, do the face scan, THEN you go back one hour after that appointment to get your figure. (OR anytime after that hour until the park closes).

Here is a video of going back to pick up my Avatar!

A big thank you to Cathy for sharing this experience with us today!!

(This is so cool!  I can't wait to see this, and maybe get one for Paul when we go in February!  (I myself want a Banshee! )

THROWBACK THURSDAY! Meeting The Mad Hatter @ 1900 Park Fare!

In late August of 2015 I was in Orlando for a work conference, so Paul flew down the day it ended and we made a 3.5 day trip to WDW!  It was whirlwind, but fun too!  We had breakfast at 1900 Park Fare, and here we have our time with Mad Hatter!
