FOODIE FRIDAY! Last Two Locations On Our List!

Hey everyone!  Well.........here we are at the last post before our trip!  Next week we will be off, so just a heads up on that.

We take off early Sunday morning for Walt Disney World!  Our flight is at 7:20am. so it will be a really early day!

A recap of places we will be dining at are:
Chicken Guy, Wine Bar George, Kona Cafe, Plaza Restaurant, Garden Grill, Takumi-Tei, Trattoria al Forno, Big River Grill and Brewing Co., Ronto Roaster and Oga's Cantina in Galaxy's Edge, Tiffin's, Cape May,  and the last 2 (not in order) that I will be covering today are Raglan Road and Chef Art Smith's Homecomin'! The last two locations are at Disney Springs.

We will be having a late lunch at Raglan Road on Wednesday March 4th.  I have been in this location, but never dined there.  We figured it would be a good place to try since we were just in Ireland this past September/October.

Our last day on our trip we don't fly out until early evening, so we have a good day do to some different things.  After we check out and get our luggage down to the resort airline check-in (which is such an awesome convenience by the way!!) we will take the boat over to Disney Springs for Brunch at Chef Art Smith's Homecomin'. This brunch is only offered on Saturday and Sunday. Since we leave on Saturday.....

I have heard so many amazing things about this place, and I just can't wait to try it.

Well folks!  There you have it!  Our upcoming culinary adventure is finished, and I can't wait to tell you all about it when we get back!!

On the schedule after we return will be talking about these places and telling you how we loved them.......and also diving into the places I have booked for my trip at the end of April through May 7th. The unfortunate part about that is, it will be my last trip to my Happy Place for a really long time.

THROWBACK THURSDAY!!! Beautiful Memories!

We talked about this on the podcast this week.  Our 2012 Disney Cruise where we celebrated Paul's being cancer free for a year.  He's now going on nine years, and looking back at these pictures is so special.
This was the private photo session that was arranged for us as part of our celebration.  Take a listen to the podcast via the link here!

Our Home Next Week!! Hey, I'm Goin' to Disney World!

We leave for "home" in less than a week, and I am "crawling out of my skin" excited!  We will be staying at Port Orleans Riverside resort.  It's a lovely place with beautiful surroundings, and wonderful ambiance.
The last time we stayed there was in 2012, and we really enjoyed it.  Although, our favorite of the two sister moderate category resorts is Port Orleans French Quarter, this is a wonderful alternative.
Since we will be there for my Birthday week, we are staying in the Magnolia Bend area of the resort, and have a Royal Room with a River View room.  Here are some photos of what this area and rooms looks like.  You will see why I am so happy!

My goodness!  I can't wait to see this in person!!

FOODIE FRIDAY! Batuu!! A Non-reservation location, and a Cocktail Stop at Oga's Cantina!

Bright Suns!  That is the daytime greeting in a wonderful place called Batuu.  That would be Galaxy's Edge in Disney's Hollywood Studios!

I really can't wait to go back..........to experience Rise of the Resistance for the first time.  I am so excited, I am beyond even attempting to put it into  words.

I have absolutely loved my experiences (yes, I have been three times now) at Galaxy's Edge so far, and look forward to having a fun time with Paul there on this trip.  He has not been yet, and I am excited for him to see it.

We will be having lunch at Ronto Roasters.  I loved what I had both times I ate there before.  It's really good food, and not all that expensive.  I have had the Ronto  Breakfast Wrap which is Eggs, Grilled Pork Sausage, Shredded Cheddar, and Peppercorn Sauce in Pita Bread.  It is very good, and a good amount of food to get you through your morning wandering around in Batuu.
The other thing I have had is the Endorian Chicken Wrap. It is  Marinated Chicken, Cucumber Relish, Yogurt and Feta Pesto Sauce.  It is also very tasty.  At time of press, each one runs $12.49.

The nice thing is that Mobile Ordering is now available here.  Not that I have waited a long amount of time for food in this location, but you never know.  Better safe that wasting valuable time standing in line to place your order.  With Mobile Order however, you cannot pay cash, as it is a pre-pay system.

We are planning on ordering the regular Ronto Wrap which has  Roasted Pork, Grilled Pork Sausage, Peppercorn Sauce, and Tangy Slaw wrapped in Pita Bread and again at time of press, this runs $12.99.  It is pictured here with the Tatooine Sunset drink which is $5.49.

Before we continue on, a cocktail and beer is called for at Oga's Cantina.  I can't go all the way to Batuu and not stop in to the planets favorite watering hole!

Oga's is so much fun even if you are alone!  There is always someone to talk to in there!  I have had two different cocktails so far.  They include the

Yub Nub

Malibu Pineapple Rum, Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum, Citrus Juices, and Passion Fruit

and
Fuzzy Tauntaun
CĂ®roc Peach Vodka, Bols Peach Schnapps, Simply® Orange with Tangerine, Pure Cane Sugar, and "Buzz Button Tingling" Foam

This next visit I am going to try the

The Outer Rim

Patrón Silver Tequila, Cedilla Açaí Liqueur, Lime Juice, Pure Cane Sugar, with Black Salt and Exotic Fruit Purée

And who can pass up a chance to check out DJ Rex in action??  I sure can't!
Join us again next week as we take a look at the last two locations we have in out dining plans.  They are Raglan Road and Art Smith's Homecomin'!!
