FOODIE FRIDAY! Things I Have Never Tried!

Let's Go Slurpin' !

This week we take a look at another dining/drinking location at Typhoon Lagoon.
This week it's Let's Go Slurpin'.  This place looks so fun, with lots of great concoctions!

This looks like a place I would want to sit and relax at!  According to My Disney Experience...... "Shimmy over to this shack on the beach and loudly inhale surfside specials frozen or on the rocks, select beers or any drink from the full bar menu. Try the rum-based Miss Tilly or the strawberry margarita, made with Herradura Reposado Tequila. "
Oh yeah..........that's for me!!

The full menu is listed below, but I think my first choice would be the Grand Margarita!!  I love Grand Marnier!

THROWBACK THURSDAY! Our First Stay at Port Orleans Riverside

Our first stay at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort.  We loved the grounds, our room was great, Cast Members were great, for the most part.  The one complaint we had was it was not as clean as we were used to.  One example is, on the day we arrived, there was a coffee spill stain on the painted pavement by the elevator at the building we stayed in.  It was there for several days after, and that struck me as odd.  You normally don't see this at a Disney resort.  Normally, this situation would be taken care of by the next day.  Day two, day three, day four..........still there.  We even said something on the third day......... guess what........it was still there on the day we checked out on the fifth day of our stay.  That was disappointing, and actually just that small thing made me not want to stay again. Am I overly picky?  Maybe.  But in my defense, Disney resorts are usually immaculate, so it was just not up to their usual standards, especially even after bringing it to the attention of the front desk.
We really prefer Port Orleans French Quarter anyway because of it ambiance, and its size.  As a matter of fact, I can now say that I have stayed at French Quarter more than any other Disney resort, and will be staying there again in November.

Arrival on the Magical Express brought a surprise before we ever even got into the lobby.  A firetruck outside!

The lobby is really beautiful!

We had to wait a bit to check in, so we just walked around a while and took pictures.

NO SPOILERS Review of TOY STORY 4

Image result for Toy Story 4

Even thought I REALLY want to talk about everything in this movie, I just can't do it.  I can't spoil it for so many who have not seen it since it just officially released last night.  I was fortunate enough to get a ticket for the Thursday preview night, so I went right after work.
I went alone because neither my husband or my son could go with me.  We are going to go on Tuesday so it's all good.  I went to the 3D showing because I wanted to experience that format.
Seriously..........this is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time where my emotions ran from happy, to tears,  to fright (for just a few seconds) to tears again, and arriving at the end of the film which was totally, and I really mean TOTALLY unexpected!!  I was blubbering like a baby when I left!   It really brought the franchise to a close in a really happy and positive way though.  With what is going on in my life right now with my work retirement happening yesterday, the film ending was almost like a mirror of my life this week.
Please make sure to see this film!  If your kids grew up with Toy Story in their life, or if you did, it is really a movie that you need to see.  You will really enjoy it!

Hey everyone!  This week we continue with the feature of things I have never tried at Walt Disney World.  We are sticking with the water park segment this week at Typhoon Lagoon.

This place has some interesting choices to get what looks like a really decent meal.
The Island Crunch Chicken Salad would be my choice.  How about you?  If you have something you have tried here or something that looks good, post your reply below!

The full menu at this location is posted below with pricing current at the time of publishing.
