WOW!! I Got a Custom Kyber Crystal!!

There is a YouTube Channel I watch that is really interesting.  It's SirJames/Gamerfuzion.  Here is the link for you.
 https://www.youtube.com/user/SirJamesMitchell1990

On one of his shows he was talking about a custom Kyber Crystal from this company called craftedcores.com.  I was so intreagued, that I just had to oder one.  (Yes......I am a 62 year old female STAR WARS geek.  What can I say??

These two photos above and right, are one of my regular Kyber Crystals I got at Walt Disney World.  I have five now, and will be getting more when I get back down in September.  I still want the white and want to try for another red.

So, now to the custom crystal.  I ordered this based on the review by Sir James.  I am so happy I did!  It's really cool!  The White of the crystal lights up the blade in a bright white , and the sound is amazing!!!  It is fully functional with my Savi's Workshop and my Jedi Holocron and my Sith Holocron. (I told you I was a nerd!)

Here are some photos of my new custom crystal in action.
Elemental Nature CrystalThis is the photo from craftedcore.com's site.

The color here is totally different from my blue crystal from Disney.  The sounds are also different.  I had some video, but for some reason they will not convert to use on here.

Chandler was very helpful with communications, and was very quick to respond to an email I had sent him.  Very good to do business with.  Thank you Chandler!

Below is the link to the crystal I purchased.  unfortunately for me, this was the only one still available.
I hope he will come out with some new versions soon!

FOODIE FRIDAY! Woke Up Nervous Today! Find Out Why!

Oh boy! Walt Disney World is starting is phased openings on July 11, 2020!!  That is such good news for all of us who love our Happy Place!!  With everything they announced for the phasing, they said that all dining reservation were going to be cancelled and would have to be re-made at the 60 day mark!  WHAT??

  • Dining and Experiences: In order to foster physical distancing during this time, upon reopening, our offerings, restaurants and other experiences such as behind-the-scenes tours will be limited in capacity, and other experiences may remain closed. As a result of limited capacity, we have made the difficult decision to cancel all existing dining reservations and experience bookings, including Disney dining plans included in packages. We will reopen dining and experience bookings with more limited numbers closer to when the parks reopen. We will also shift from a 180-day booking window to a 60-day booking window for dining and experience bookings going forward to allow Guests to make their plans closer to their visits.

I dread having to do all of my fabulous reservations all over again!! I just hope I can get the ones that are really important to me when they open back up again.  I will have to be on point at the 60 mark for my trip!  That being said, let's take a look at my plans "for now" and hope for the best!

Breakfast with Chip and Dale at Garden Grill will start out my day.  Who can ask for a more fun way to begin?

My dinner plans are at a location I have never dined at before.  I have heard mixed reviews from friends, and read some as well, but I have always wanted to try this place, and since I have not, I'm going to keep my reservation.  (I was seriously considering changing it, but since I can't right now in the MDE system, I will just leave it.)

The setting here is absolutely beautiful, and for that alone, I really want to have dinner here.

FOODIE FRIDAY! Dining Plans for Day Four Of My Next Trip!

Hey everyone!  I'm back with it today for another edition of FOODIE FRIDAY!  I hope this finds you well.
First off, a bit of news as things begin to open back up at our beloved Walt Disney World.  Disney Springs had a partial opening on May 20, and will have more things opening up on the 27th, as Disney owned stores start to open, and this includes the World of Disney store.  To me this is big, and hopeful news.  Any glimmer of things to come helps.  The other really big news is the promotion of our head of Walt Disney World will be taking the reins as Chairman of Disney Parks, Experience and Products, a position previously held by Disney CEO, Bob Chapek.

  • (Prior to coming to Walt Disney World, D’Amaro served as the President of Disneyland Resort.)
A statement from Josh is as follows:
Congratulations to the Disney Springs Cast and the whole Walt Disney World team on the spectacular reopening of Disney Springs this week. It was a special moment and one I will never forget as I move onto my new role.
To all of the Cast Members who have warmly welcomed me into the Walt Disney World family….Thank You.
To all of our guests that have stopped to say “hello” to me….Thank You.
While my time here at WDW was relatively short, it was incredibly special.
Our Resort will now be in the caring hands of @jeffvahle …an incredible leader and an amazing person.
I will miss you all greatly. Please take care.

The new President of the Walt Disney World Resort is Jeff Vahle.  Get used to that face!  Hopefully he will be as great as Bob Chapek was and Josh D'Amaro!

Now to get on with the subject of the day.  FOOD!

I have a reservation for dinner at the Hollywood Brown Derby.  I have never dining here before, so I am really looking forward to this.

I have heard so many great things about this place, but it's just never been on my tops of places to go list.  Not really sure why. There are already several things on the menu that I am interested in, including the Duck Breast, the salmon and the Filet of Beef.  They all look delicious!
Here is the link to the dinner menu for the Brown Derby.

So, going backwards with my plans for the day, I'm not really sure what I am going to do about breakfast and lunch.  It all depends of course on what time I can get Fast Passes, boarding passes for Rise of the Resistance (if that process is still happening).  So, the options I am considering are, Docking Bay7 in Galaxy's Edge, Woody's Lunchbox in Toy Story Land, or the Backlot Express.  We shall see!!!

As far as Fast Pass hopefuls, I really want to do Tower of Terror, Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway and Toy Story Mania on this day.  These are some of my favorites, and not really sure when I will be getting to Walt Disney World after this trip, so I want to get in as many as possible.

Well, that's it for this week.  See you all here again next week!  Thanks for reading!
If you can, would you be so kind as to click on a add or two while you are here.  I'm trying to earn a little money with this blog, (not that this get's me much.)  Thank you!

FOODIE FRIDAY! Day Three Dining Plans for September!

Hello everyone, and welcome to another FOODIE FRIDAY!

Big dining plans are on the menu (get it?) for the third day of my trip, which is September 3rd ( as it stands right now that is)......

I am starting out the day at a character breakfast at the new Riviera Resort.  Topolino's Terrace is the name, and great interactions and food is the game.  Now, that being said.....with how things will be when the parks open back up, will this be the same kind of character interactions at these character meals that I had the last time I was there?  I don't think so.  I believe they will be there, and come to your table, but I don't think you (or your kids) will be able to get up, get hugs, pose, etc.  Disappointing as this is, I am still looking forward to this one.  Besides characters, this is NOT a buffet, so nothing has to change here going forward.
I have heard so many great things about this location, so I just have to try it.

Next, I am heading over for a day at Animal Kingdom, and will be spending the rest of my day there.
I am hoping for Fast Passes for Flight of Passage, and Expedition Everest and a later FP for Kilimanjaro Safaris before a dinner plan I have.
I will be having lunch at Tiffin's as I ADORE this place, and really enjoy the food!!
My favorite server (who is hopefully still there after CM's go back to work!) Mikey changed his days off (we were told in March) so I am hoping since this is a Thursday he will be working.  He takes such good care of this gal who will be dining alone again.
I love the food and the atmosphere here so much, I just have to go on every trip now!

For dinner I am trying something a little different.  Did you know that Restaurantosaurus has reservations available at dinner time?  Yup, they do!  I am going to try out the experience, so I will be doing a blog post about this after that trip to let you know how it is.  the experience is called Restaurantosaurus Dig Site Sundaes and Gourmet Burgers.  We shall see how this is.  I did speak to a friend who did this, and they were very complimentary.
This dining location is so fun to just explore!  There are so many things to look at inside!

The atmosphere is like being on a dino-dig so to speak, and those who are are it with you have left little notes, and tidbits of information all over the restaurant.  If you have not been here, go check it out.  The food is very good!!

Well...........as I should probably walk back to my resort after this (just kidding, that would not happen!) that's it for the day!!
Hope you see you here again next week for another edition of FOODIE FRIDAY!
See Ya Real Soon!!
