This Day in Disney History!

1971:
Walt Disney World's new Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, located at 4510
North Fort Wilderness Trail, opens in Florida. Built in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area, adjacent to
Bay Lake and Disney's River Country (a now-defunct water park), Fort Wilderness is designed with a rustic theme.

FOODIE FRIDAY ON A SHORT HIATUS

Foodie Fridays will be on a short hiatus.  Gearing up to feature some new places we would be interested in trying at Walt Disney World on a future trip!

Thanks for your patience!

THIS DAY IN DISNEY HISTORY! November 10, 2009

2009:
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is held at the Magic Kingdom
in Florida for the very first time this season. Also debuting is "Totally
Tomorrowland Christmas," a new stage show featuring Pixar characters (which replaces the
annual "Mickey's 'Twas the Night Before Christmas" show which ran at the Galaxy Palace Theater).

THROWBACK THURSDAY!

My favorite photo with Ariel in her Grotto at Walt Disney World. October 2014.
Hard to believe this was over two years ago already.

SILLY SUNDAY!

Ran across this photo today. This was from our trip at Walt Disney World in August of 2015.  I had Piglet hold up this paper saying HI to my grown son Tim. This is an inside joke with Piglet from a Crystal Palace visit years ago.  The experience is still talked about to this day!

FOODIE FRIDAY! Our Last Disneyland Stop, Carnation Cafe

Wow, I can't believe we are actually done talking about our dining experiences from our recent trip to Disneyland.

On our last full day, we had dinner at the Carnation Cafe.  The food was great!  We were able to dine outside, right inside the gated area, we we could people watch as we were enjoying our dinner.  This might not be the idea spot for everyone, but we enjoyed it.  The weather was great so why not take advantage of it.

We had the Fried Pickles for an appetizer.  They were really good!  The dipping sauce was delicious.

We both had one of Walt's favorites, Chicken Fried Chicken as our entree.

We passed on dessert because we were going to have a Dole Whip and a Mickey Ice Cream Bar later that evening.

This was our view as we dined, right on Main Street, USA!

Thanks for joining us on our journey in dining around Disneyland!!
Well, I guess it's time to plan our next big Disney adventure, right Paul??
