My Room at the Grand Destino Tower at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort

As I was going through and organizing my photos from my trip in November, I realized I totally forgot to share the photos of the room I had in the Grand Destino Tower at Coronado Springs!
Let me just say this.  I thought I was in a very upscale hotel anyplace in the country.  This was absolutely beautiful, and so much room!!
I had a king size bed all to myself!
If you are considering a stay here, don't hesitate!

FOODIE FRIDAY! Prepping the Final Plans For Our Trip! Part 2 !

Hi everyone!  Wow....did this week fly or what?  I remember just typing this out last week, and here we are again.

This week we are going to talk about the places we will dine on day two.

We have a lunch reservation at Kona Cafe at the Polynesian and then dinner at Magic Kingdom at the Plaza Restaurant.

We will talk about Kona Cafe first.  Monday March 2nd is technically a non-park day for us, even though we will be heading to Magic Kingdom.  I need to explain here.  First, I am actually doing the Keys to the Kingdom Tour at 8am.  This is a five hour tour, so I am having Paul take the bus to Magic Kingdom from our resort around noon so he can meet me outside the park when I am done.  Then we will head over to the Polynesian via the Monorail and have lunch.

We have not had any kind of meal at this location since 2010.  Wow!!  It's been ten years?!?  How can that be???  We stayed at the Polynesian that year when we are on our delayed Honeymoon after our 2009 wedding.  Neither of us could take the time off work for one reason or another, so we just held off from May until the end of January in 2010.

The last time we dined here it was for dinner.  We are really looking forward to a meal here again. It's a beautiful place with a tropical vibe, and really good food and service.

After we have lunch, we are going to do one of Paul's favorite things.......resort hop  via the Monorail.  He loves the Monorail, so what a better thing to do when you have several hours to pass by.
Now, getting to that sort-of, non-park day thing.  Since I have an Annual Pass right now, and he does not, we were trying to do the most economical thing with his tickets.  I purchased a 3 day park ticket through Undercover Tourist, https://www.undercovertourist.com/orlando/walt-disney-world-resort/#tickets
and we got a really good price that saved us a fairly good amount of money, about $44.00 so it all helps!  That's money toward a meal for sure.  So, I was thinking to myself, 3 day tickets means we can't so all four parks and I really don't want him to miss anything (even though this is MY birthday trip!) This is the last time he will be going probably for at least several years so I want him to get as much in without killing ourselves doing it.  I checked into the After Hours events at Magic Kingdom and found that there is one on Monday March the 2nd which works our perfectly for our plans.  I got two tickets for this, saving money with my Annual Pass, and we saved $28.00 off the regular one day admission price, and the park will not be crowded at all, we can go on attractions over and over if we want and he will get in a night at Magic Kingdom. Boom!  We can arrive at the park to get in with this ticket starting at 7pm as the park closes at 8pm.  We will get a wrist band to get on all rides that are available, and the ticket cost includes cart snacks and popcorn for free!!  There is dessert!!

After our resort hopping we will be getting to the park to get our wrist band for the event, and then we head to the Plaza Restaurant for a dinner reservation at 7:25pm.

This is another place we have dined before and we love it.  Fabulous atmosphere, great service,  and really good food.  Why not go again, right?

We are going to be visiting family in the afternoon, so we will be taking a Lyft over to Winter Garden and visit for a while, and then head back to Disney Springs for a dinner reservation at Wine by George.  I have had lunch at this location before and I totally loved it.  I wanted to experience it for dinner as well, so that is on our plans.
