Walt Disney World Resort of the Week - Disney's Pop Century

We have never stayed at this resort, but have so many friends who have, and rave about it, I thought it would be a good resort to cover this week.  Being a "value resort" it's pretty no frills, but there is magic all over!

The areas of the resort consist of the era's of the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's.  All containing large icons that coincide with the time period including over sized cell phones, yo-yos, bowling pins, just to name a few.  There is an interactive water fountain near the playground which is a soft service play area.

Guest check in is at Classic Hall which also houses food and merchandise locations, the arcade and guest services.

The transportation provided to all the parks, and Disney Springs are buses.

Three pools on on this property, and guests staying at Pop Century can use any or all of them when they desire.
There is a bar called Petals at the Hippy Dippy Pool.

This is a resort for people on a budget and/or nostalgia buffs.  Adults enjoy having specialty drinks poolside, and kids enjoy the state of the art arcade.

There are 2,880 rooms at this resort on a sprawling property.  Yes, it is VERY big!!!  The rooms measure 260 sq. ft. which are somewhat smaller than the rooms at Port Orleans (which we covered last week) at 314 sq. ft.    Each room has two double beds, a vanity area with a single sink, a bathroom, small dresser, table and chairs, a mini fridge, TV and free Wi-Fi.

They have a bakery and convenience market at the food court, plus several of the stands are focused on pizza, pasta, and burgers.  You can get pizza delivery to your room from 4pm to midnight as well.

We hope this information helps a little if you are thinking about booking a stay at Disney's Pop Century!
