Happy EARTH DAY, Disney Style!

Happy EARTH DAY!

This is such a great day every year as it's a reminder of how fragile our planet is.  Even though this rock we live on is billions of years old, and has withstood tragic event in it's history, it survives.

We must still be good stewards during our time here, and we must all work together to take care of her.  We must all do our share with reduce, reuse, recycle of course.  But there are so many other things we need to do as well.  This is part of how the Disney Conservation Fund comes into play.  Innocent animals around the world are perishing because of human invasions into their native habitats.  If you are not familiar with the Disney Conservation Fund, I have included the link to their website below.

For some fun today, I have included my favorite animal photos from our WILD AFRICA TREK experience at Disney's Animal Kingdom.  (I will also post a link for information about this as well, in case you are interested in booking this tour for yourself).

Here is one of the two types of giraffe at Animal Kingdom.  This type is the Masai.  The edges around the brownish color are smoother.  You will find the other type several photos down.

Did you know there are many different types of Giraffes?  There are actually 9!  Below is one of the Reticulated Giraffe at Animal Kingdom.

Here you can find the links for both the Trek and the Conservation fund mentioned above.
