FOODIE FRIDAY~~ Continuing Our Disney Wonder Dining (drinking)!

 Since DCL has started cruising again, I feel this is rather timely to talk about our experience on our second Disney cruise aboard the WONDER!

Last week we featured our standout dinner at PALO.  Today we talk about what was next in line as far as days go  Not really a meal here, but it was a wine and chocolate pairings seminar we set up for our cruise group.  This was mid-afternoon on a day at sea, and it was so fun!!  For those who really know me well, you know I love my wines and I LOVE chocolate!!  I felt like I had died and gone to heaven because, in my heaven, there IS both!!

well, to say it was a little emotional is putting it mildly!

I did go to the gift shop and bought one of the miniature statues of my very own!

HAPPY TEN YEARS of Walt Disney Maniacs!!

 My Facebook group, WALT DISNEY MANIACS is celebrating its 10th  year of existence today.  

I can't believe I started that group so long ago, and it's been a part of my everyday life ever since.  

A big thank you to all who belong, and who have supported this adventure for 10 years! 

I want to give a big shout-out to my three admins in the group who have been a great help, and for

 taking the reins when I travel.  Cathy, Kelly, and Joe thank you!!  

Here is to another great year ahead!

FOODIE FRIDAY!! A Look Back at Our PALO Dinner on the WONDER!

Looking back at this meal, it still makes me smile.  We had such a wonderful experience at PALO on our Disney WONDER cruise.

JUNGLE CRUISE Review (No Spoilers)

 Hey all!  I just got home from seeing Jungle Cruise, and I have to say I really enjoyed it, and I got to see it for free......which was really cool too!

I had gone to dinner with a friend at Applebee's the other night, and they had a promo going for a free ticket (or tickets) depending on how much you spent.  For every $25 purchase and taking a photo of your receipt and submitting it, you got one ticket.  If you spend $50 you get two.  

So, I sent in the photo of the itemized receipt, and it was accepted.  They sent me the code and I went from there to get my free tickets from FANDANGO.

   

Let's get to the film.  Without spoiling anything, (because I know so many have not seen it as of yet) it was full of adventure, stunts, explosions, crazy scary creatures, and corny jokes!!  

I really loved Emily Blunt in this.  After finding out she did her own stunts, it made me appreciate her performance even more.  

Dwayne Johnson was, well.........what you would expect from him.  Crazy stunts, funny jokes, and a great smile.  

The actor (Jack Whitehall) who played Lily's (Emily Blunt's character) brother was really good as well. 

One of my favorite actors, Paul Giamatti plays Nilo Nemolato, the harbormaster who pretty much owns everything on the water.  His part was not big, but it added a great touch, and he played the part so very well.

Other than it was great, and you need to see it, I am saying no more!  I don't want to spoil it.

FOODIE FRIDAY!! A Look Back at More Food on the Disney Wonder, 2014

 Our first day of sailing, and this was breakfast and lunch at Cabanas! 

No matter what we had at all locations on the WONDER, all the food was fabulous!!

In the afternoon we did a mixology seminar in the Cadillac Lounge.  This was so fun!!!

I forgot to take a picture before I drank my first cocktail!  OOPS! 

We had arranged for the Facebook Cruise Group I had started to do this together.

THROWBACK THURSDAY! Looking Back at WDW's 25th Anniversary Year.

 As I was packing up our house for our big move south, I found these items in a folder I had saved with all sorts of things from the 25th Anniversary of Walt Disney World.  My family and I were there in March of 1997 so things were still going on.  Yes, the castle was a cake, and I loved it!!
