This week on Sentimental Sunday we visit Castaway Cay, Disney's private island. For those of you who are unaware of this, Castaway Cay is a tiny island in the Abacos, one in the string of Bahamian isles. This little bit of paradise was secured for the sole use of passengers cruising on the Disney ships. It is small, only 3.1 miles long, and 2.2 miles wide, and most of it intentionally left undeveloped so that nature lovers can enjoy some still-unspoiled terrain. There are so many things to do at Castaway Cay, and to find out more, you can visit this link........

We really enjoyed our day there, and took advantage of the adult beach. Got chairs and umbrella, relaxed, swam, had drinks, and had a visit from a scallywag who was making his way down the beach..........and that was just the first part of the day! Next week we will visit the afternoon there, and in the following week, we will continue with Pirate Night aboard the ship!
This was our view from our verandah pulling into the dock at Castaway Cay!
Beautiful waters!
A simply beautiful view, on a simply beautiful day!
Next we exited the ship to head for the trams that would take us to the adult area, Serenity Bay! As we travel sans kids............we appreciate all that DCL had to offer for adults on the ship, and also on land!
Before heading to the tram, we had to get our picture taken with our pals Chip and Dale! They were all ready to head to the beach too!
Walking over to the tram you can see things like this!
The entrance to Serenity Bay.....NO KIDS!
Here we are out in the water!
Our beach neighbor was kind enough to offer to take our picture together.
My "drop sand" version of Cinderella Castle!
Here we are with Jack Sparrow! Wow.........a real pirate!
The walk...............
Beautiful pictures. It looks like an unforgettable journey.
