Days 9 and 10 of our WDW/Cruise Adventure-Full Day at Sea, and leaving the ship.

Day 9 began with breakfast.  Instead of room service, today we dined at Cabana's.  The Disney cruise Line website states this about Cabana's,  "Cabanas on the Disney Dream is an indoor/outdoor casual dining restaurant located on Deck 11, Aft that serves a variety of fresh food favorites. During breakfast and lunch, Cabanas offers the finest in made-to-order dining; at dinnertime, Cabanas is transformed into an elegant table-service restaurant serving Main Dining specialties.
Bedecked in a California beach theme, Cabanas recalls a breezy boardwalk along the Pacific coast—with a dash of Disney magic thrown in for good measure. The restaurant's charming décor boasts clam shell tables and Adirondack chairs, palm trees and beach umbrellas, decorative surfboards and kites, and flooring that alternates from wood paneling and sand to an ocean-blue carpet. A sweeping 30-foot-long hand-crafted mosaic depicting an underwater scene from the Disney•Pixar animated film Finding Nemo can be found on the wall, as well as a decorative art-piece featuring the 5 Disney castles.
Dining at Cabanas is a unique culinary experience. During breakfast and lunch, Guests are invited to explore the boardwalk—which is home to a variety of food stations, each designed to look like a seaside beach cabana with colorful awnings—and partake in an eclectic menu of freshly-prepared, culinary classics. Similar in style to a high-end food court, food stations serve everything from mouthwatering sushi and pasta to one specializing in decadent desserts. At dinnertime, Cabanas is transformed into a table-service dining experience where dinner entrees are cooked to order in the show kitchen. Cocktails and specialty drinks can be ordered from the full-service Clam Bar."

Breakfast
Breakfast times at Cabanas vary daily, so please check the Personal Navigator—the Disney Cruise Line daily newsletter detailing all there is to see and do—for specific dates and times while onboard.
Offering a selection of breakfast favorites that are sure to appeal to Guests of all ages, Cabanas is perfect start to the new day.

It was a great breakfast, with lot's to choose from, as a matter of fact we enjoyed it so much, we went back for lunch!

Lunch
Lunch at Cabanas is served on most days. Check the Personal Navigator—the Disney Cruise Line daily newsletter detailing all there is to see and do—for specific dates and times while onboard.

Besides the food, what we loved most about the area of Cabana's was the mosaic murals on the wall of the underwater scenes from Finding Nemo.  They are as stunning and as intricate as the mosaic scenes at Cinderella Castle.

After returning to our stateroom from breakfast, there was a note attached to our door about going to the Vista Gallery on deck 4, at 3:45pm for a special surprise.  WOW!  We love surprises!  After entering the stateroom, we also found another surprise.  On our bed, was a small Disney Cruise Line bag, with several things inside it, and another note.  The bag had free bingo cards and the note was an invitation to play bingo for free that afternoon in the D Lounge.  How cool is that?

We went to the desk and asked for the young lady who gave us the note, and the young lady working there said, "Oh!  She will be right with you! Please go in and browse the artwork while you wait." So, we walked around a little bit, not really having any idea of what was about to happen.  She arrived, and there were several crew members who were with her, and the scattered to block the entrances into the gallery.  They even escorted other guests out.  I am thinking to myself, "what the heck??"  Well, we found out just a few short seconds later.  Through the doors in the back of the gallery, comes Goofy, Donald and Daisy, Pluto, Chip and Dale, Minnie and Captain Mickey himself.   Once again, this is the reason why Disney Cruise Line is #1!  Talk about going above and beyond to help us celebrate my husbands health.  We were touched beyond words.  We had our own private photo session with this wonderful group of characters.  It's a wonder we looked human in these pictures, as both of us were literally brought to tears. This is a memory we will talk about for the rest of our lives.  Really.

We did a seperate picture with Pluto, as he was the only character we had not been able to get a picture with earlier on the cruise.  Gotta love this dog!!!

After we were done with the gang, we thanked everyone who was involved.  We went and played a little bingo, came close to winning a couple times, but never did.  That's ok, it was fun anyway. After our Bingo cards were gone, we went on a walk around the ship.  Took pictures, and walked around on deck.

 Just call me Princess Kris!

 More beautiful mosiacs!

It was also time to meet the captain, and get his autograph.  We bought a hat and and him sign it.  He was a lovely man, and great fun to meet.

We  headed back to the room to rest for a bit, and sat out on our verandah.  It was then time to start getting ready for the show that night, "Disney's Believe."  It was a wonderful show.
After the show was over, we went to a few lounges and had a cocktail before dinner.

Pink was very cool!!

OH!  And, of course, a picture or two with the boy who will never grow up, Peter Pan!  You can fly!

Dinner this night was at Enchanted Garden.  Such a beautiful spot, as the lighting changes as the evening progresses.

My favorite part of dinner is dessert!

Of course, all luggage needed to be outside of our stateroom for the exit off the ship the next morning.  Frantically trying to pack everything up, and just carry what you needed off the ship in the morning.  One last really good night's sleep, and wake early the next day.  Express Walk-Off is now an option, but you will have no help with your luggage if you choose to do so.  We opted for having our luggage taken off the ship.

Day 10-Breakfast at Enchanted Garden, and then disembarkation.  Oh, sad, sad, sad.  We finished breakfast, and then made our way off the ship.  Heading into the terminal and customs.  We literally only bought the purse in Nassau, and the few little things on Castaway Cay, so we were through there in less than 10 minutes.  We then headed for the DCL bus that would take us to the airport.  I am really kicking myself now that we did not plan some time back at Walt Disney World for at least a couple days before heading home.  I think that would have been the icing on the cake.  Maybe next time!!

I hope you have all enjoyed the coverage of this trip.  I have enjoyed re-living the memories, as they are, and will continue to be very fond memories for years to come.

As I now only 10 days away from my solo trip to WDW, I am trying to make sure I have everything I need.  I am getting very excited about this adventure.  I wish my husband was going with me, but I understand he is not as addicted to Disney as I am, and that's ok.  I love him dearly because he lets me feed my addiction.  Better this, than smoking and carousing, right?

Take care, and see you all in a couple weeks when I begin the coverage of my next adventure!
