Disney's Wilderness Lodge- area music part 2

Tickets for WDW Special Events go on Sale in April!

Are you already looking forward to the favorite fall events at the Walt Disney World® Resort? Dates have been announced for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. And, tickets for both events will go on sale in April.

During these specially-ticketed events the Magic Kingdom® Park comes alive with holiday decorations, special entertainment and tons of fun!

This year, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will be held 25 nights throughout the months of September, October and November. And, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will be held 20 nights in November and December.

Dates for 2015 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are:

• Sept. 15, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27
• Oct. 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 12, 13, 15, 16, 18, 20, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31
• Nov. 1 

Dates for 2015 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party are:

• Nov. 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 29
• Dec.1, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 18 

As a reminder, tickets for both events will go on sale in April. 

Throwback Thursday!

My very first experience on Tower of Terror at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  It was just last October, as I was always too chicken to go on it before.  I don't know why because it was a blast!  

Below is the picture from the very next day and my second time!  

I love this attraction now, so there will be no hesitation going forward!

Refurbishment Update at Walt Disney World

Lunch ADR Available at Be Our Guest Starting February 25th!

A totally new concept in lunch time dining for a Quick Service location is beginning tomorrow.  Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom has been so overwhelmingly popular, that beginning on February 25, 2015 you will be able to book an Advanced Dining Reservation for this Quick Service location at lunch.  

Hopefully,  this will decrease the wait time to get in at lunch.  When I dined there with a friend back in May of 2013, there was about a 40 minute wait to get in at lunch time.  I really wanted to eat there, so I was willing to wait, but would not like to stand in a line like that again.  

They did have the test on this running for quite some time, and I was a part of that in October of 2014.  I got an email offering me the opportunity to pre-order my meal and check in at a special location.  It was fast, accurate and worked out very well.  

This ADR is not limited to guests staying on property.  Anyone going to Magic Kingdom can make a reservation.  You can use the My Disney Experience app to make the reservation, call your travel agent or call Disney Dining at 407-WDW-DINE.  Be Our Guest will continue to be a Quick Service Dining location for lunch as it has been.  If you are using the dining plan, it counts as one Quick-Serve credit for each person.

I know on our next trip, that we will definitely plan on dining at Be Our Guest for lunch as Paul has yet to experience the wonderful atmosphere at this location.

My Disney Pin Collection Monday!

Today we begin a journey around World Showcase at EPCOT.  I have completed my collection of the pins from the pavilions of World Showcase, and we start with Canada!

The pin features Pluto wearing a Canadian Mountie uniform, with some of the buildings in the Canada pavilion.  

I always start my "tour" of World Showcase at Canada and work my way around. 
 I hope you enjoy seeing the pins. Next week we will feature the United Kingdom pin!

Itty Bittys from Hallmark!

Oh boy!  Just when I thought it was safe to go in a Hallmark Store.........they come out with the Itty Bittys STAR WARS collection!


My first purchase is Yoda!  He is adorable!  I think I will have to pick up Darth Vader or Chewbacca next!

Disney's Cinderella Released on This Date in 1950!

“Cinderella, you're as lovely as your name

Cinderella is kind to all, especially her mice friends, Jaq and Gus. She has faith that if you keep on believing, your wish will come true. With help from her fairy godmother, she gets a chance to live her dreams.

Cinderella's mother passed away at an indeterminate time prior to the beginning of the story. Some time later, her father married Lady Tremaine, who became Cinderella's stepmother. After the death of her father, Lady Tremaine forced Cinderella to serve the household as an ill-treated servant, which earned Lady Tremaine the distinction of being an "evil stepmother."

Working as a housemaid, Cinderella's only friends were the mice, particularly Jaq and Gus, Major the horse, her stepsisters, and Bruno the bloodhound. Day in and day out, she was subjected to the harsh words and neglect of her stepmother, with only her dreams giving her the strength to go on.

Walt Disney released the film Cinderella 65 years ago today.  This classic Disney film has touched the lives of many girls over the years, including your truly.  

Cinderella is the epitome of the true Disney Princess.

FOODIE FRIDAY!

This week on FOODIE FRIDAY, we take a visit to my first time at Cinderella's Royal Table.  I was there for breakfast on May 6, 2013.  I really enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and the Princesses!!!

 Walking up the stairs to get to my assigned dining area, it was as if I could feel the spirit of Walt Disney himself, even though he passed away before the castle was ever built.  Even though he never set foot in there, it's as if he was everywhere.

I had a great server who was more than happy to take my picture with Princess visitors I had at my table!

 My first visitor was the lovely Snow White!

                            Next along was Princess Jasmine!

                                                      Then Aurora came along for a chat.

                  Then my breakfast arrived!  All I can say it YUMM!

                               Then, finally came my "BFF" Ariel!  

It was really a wonderful experience at Cinderella's Royal Table!  I would love to do it again sometime.
