Showing Our "Disney Side" outside!

This year, we didn't have quite as much Disney decorations outside, as our Mickey and Eeyore blow-up decorations bit the dust.  Motors burned out.  Darn!  Well, in place of them, I made a Mickey wreath, and it turned out great!!

FOODIE FRIDAY!

Today on Foodie Friday, we take a look at my meal that I had at Triton's aboard the Disney Wonder on October 31, 2014.  The first restaurant in our dining rotation was Triton's and I was so happy it was repeated.  This location was my favorite.  Since I am a huge Little Mermaid fan, it was perfect for me!

If you are "shopping" today, please be kind to those of us who have to work.  We can't be with our family and friends like most people.  Please, don't yell at cashiers.  They are only doing their job.  They will be doing the best they can, with the information they have been given, or what comes up on the register.  They don't set the prices, the company they work for does.  They have no control over it.  If they have to call for help with something, be patient.  They have to wait for an answer.  There is no need to swear or, or be nasty to anyone working in a store, or anyone waiting on a table you are sitting at in a restaurant.   After being in retail for a good part of 20 years, I have seen it all.

My Disney Pin Collection Monday

I wanted to share this pin today as it's one of my favorites.  I love the "artsyness" of it, and the colors that represent Mickey, and his name written in as well.

We were presented with this beautiful plate by our server, Hristo (pronounced Christo) when we dined at Palo and celebrated our 5th Wedding Anniversary.  Yes, those of you who know us will realize that it was a bit after the fact, but this was one of three things we were celebrating on this cruise.  This was the night we chose for that.

This week on Throwback Thursday, we take a look back at our 2010 trip to Walt Disney World. We are at Chef Mickey's for dinner on our last night before our departure. We left WDW and headed south to the Keys.  

This was a fun evening for us, as it was Paul's first time at Chef Mickey's!

Updates for Downtown Disney....to be Known as Disney Springs!

This is part of an ongoing series of posts highlighting the transformation of Downtown Disney® to Disney Springs.

Recently we shared some of the new experiences coming to Disney Springs at the Walt Disney World® Resort, including two new dining locations – Morimoto Asia and The BOATHOUSE.

Here’s a look at some of the latest changes at Downtown Disney as it continues to undergo its transformation into Disney Springs.
The “Springs Bottling Co.” marquee was recently installed above the future location of Morimoto Asia.  This architectural detail is a nod to the design story behind Disney Springs, which was inspired by Florida’s waterfront towns at the turn-of-the-century.

Right next to the recently announced site for The BOATHOUSE, the Waterview Stage is now offering nightly entertainment, along with beautiful views of Village Lake. Encourage your Clients to check a Times Guide for showtimes.

Opening later this month, the Food Trucks at Exposition Park on the West Side will be the permanent home for the owned-and-operated Downtown Disney
 food trucks. From chicken and waffles to tandoori spiced shrimp, the food trucks will offer a variety of delicious culinary creations daily.  This area will also offer additional seating for diners, as well as shaded areas during the day.
Finally, The Landing – the first phase of Disney Springs – is starting to come to life with a new pedestrian walkway now open between Portobello Yacht Club and Paradiso 37. Later this month, the walkway will be fully open and provide direct access to the West Side.

Wishing the Happiest of Birthdays to the BIG CHEESE himself, MICKEY MOUSE, and to that ever adorable MINNIE MOUSE as well!

How is it possible that this movie can already be 25 years old??  It is in my top five of favorite Disney movies for sure.  Ariel is my favorite Princess as well!!

My Disney Pin Collection Monday

Today I am featuring one of my favorite pins from our trip in 2012.  Not only was is a great trip, and I love this pin, but we got to meet some of our special Disney pals on that trip.  It brings back fond memories of meeting Joe and Chrissy Diebold, and Nick and Barbie Maglio. Also, seeing an old friend and her husband who came over from Tampa to be with us for the day at Hollywood Studios.  Cathy and her husband Bert. Sadly, Bert is no longer with us, so this pin is also a reminder of our time with him. 

Isn't it awesome that you can have such a small thing, that brings back such wonderful and vivid memories just by looking at it?

FOODIE FRIDAY!

Not food?  Well, maybe not, but it sure was a yummy experience.  We participated in a Chocolate Tasting aboard the Disney Wonder on Sunday November 3rd.  We got to taste a champagne, wine, whiskey and port wine and the chocolates that were paired up with them to enhance the experience of the drinks, and/or the chocolates.  It was a very fun experience that took place in the Cadillac Lounge. 

THROWBACK THURSDAY!

My second time on Hollywood Tower of Terror in as many days!  I always thought this attraction was too scary to go on!  Wow...........I missed out on a lot of fun for a lot of years!  Sure, you come off your seat, but it's more fun than scary!!

Our Cruise Group from the WONDER 10/31/14

I started a Facebook group over a year ago for the cruise we were going on.  By the time we left, we had 100 members with families!  We had a "Meet and Greet" in the lobby atrium in front of the Ariel statue at 3pm.  Not everyone was aboard yet, so not all people are in the picture, but we did have quite a few who attended.  This was a great group of people.  Thanks to everyone who participated, said HI during the cruise!  It was fun getting to know everyone we got to socialize with!

My Disney Pin Collection Monday

I wanted to share my two newest pins with you today, since we just got back from our cruise.  I picked these up on the ship in Mickey's Mates.

Mickey finds!

Last night we had a family dinner at a local pizza place.  The location of this restaurant is in our town, and actually used to be a theatre years ago.  The Lans Theatre had a pipe organ in it, and it is still there. The organ is a 1927 Barton Theater Pipe Organ Someone does play every Tuesday and Friday nights.  

Last night when we were there, we were sitting in a location where I noticed these two Mickey statues and I (for some reason,) never noticed them before.  

I just felt compelled to share them with you today.  They are each in the range of about 24-26 inches high.  They are up high, so it's kind of hard to tell for sure.

FOODIE FRIDAY!

This week we feature that ever popular food item found at Boma, located Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. The beautiful Zebra Dome! 

If you like chocolate mousse, white and dark chocolate ganache...and a little sponge cake with it, you will indeed love this delicious snack or dessert.
