Disney+Dream = a great adventure awaits! Part IV

Good Sunday to you all!  Wow, another week has passed, and preparing for this blog post today has been lengthy with all the research I have done.  Last week, we went over our itinerary, our stateroom and upgrade, the different accomodations on the ship, the pools, shopping, the difference between tax-free and duty free, the "Sail-Away Deck Party" and "Sea Ya Real Soon! Party", and character greetings/Princess autograph sessions.
This week, we are going to go on a deck-by-deck tour, talk about rotational dining, and the different sit-down dining locations on the ship.  So, let's set sail, shall we?

Deck 1- has the Tender Lobby, and the Medical Center.
Deck 2- has the Enchanted Garden Restaurant and  standard inside staterooms.
Deck 3- has the Animator's Palate and Royal Court restaurants, Bon Voyage Lounge, the shopping area  that contains shops called Mickey's Mainsail, Whitecaps, and Sea Treasures (these we covered in Part III),   the art deco style grand lobby, and the beautifully designed Walt Disney Theater.
Deck 4- Contains the balcony seating for the Walt Disney Theater, the Buena Vista Theater, the ships lounges, and Shutters Photo Shop.
Deck 5- Is basically "kid central" as it has Disney's Oceaneer Lab and Club, It's a Small World Nursery,  Buena Vista Theater balcony seating,Vibe, and some staterooms aft and forward.
Decks 6-10 are all staterooms.
Deck 11- has Cabanas dining location, "Arr-cade", Nemo's Reef, Mickey Slide, Mickey's Pool, Donald's Pool,  Quite Cove Pool, Cove Cafe, Flo's Cafe, Cove Bar, Senses Spa and Fitness areas, Senses Rainforest Room,Senses Treatment Salons and concierge level staterooms.
Deck 12- is the location for Meridian, Palo, Remy, Waves Bar, more concierge level staterooms, and the Roy and Walt suites, and is the location for the AquaDuck Watercoaster!
Deck 13- is the home of Goofy's Sports Deck, Edge,Currents Bar, and the Concierge Private Sundeck.
Deck 14- contains the Outlook-a cozy cocktail lounge with sweeping ocean views, and the Radio Studio.

Now to "dive" into the dining locations.  Before we talk about them let's talk about rotational dining.  This is unique to Disney ships.  Thanks to this system, we will have the chance to experience three restaurants all while being treated like VIP's by our waitstaff.  This means we will eat at a different restaurant of the three main locations on three different nights.  We may have the same table guests, and enjoy  the same servers, so they get the chance to really know you.  The exception here is our dinner at Palo.  This is a "reservation only" location, and an additional fee.

Let's start with the coverage of the "fancy" places.  First on the list is Palo.  It is an adult only location and is said to be a great spot for a special celebration (which we will be having).  We will be paying $20.00 extra for each of us to dine here.  The restaurant has influences of Venice, Italy. I have read, that the food here is some of the best continental fare that you can find on either side of the Atlantic.  I think, I already know what I am going to have for dinner.  Lobster Mascarpone Ravioli, and the Chocolate Souffle' for dessert!  This has my name written all over it!

Next is Remy.  Said to be a ritzy palate-pleaseing delight.  It is the most upscale dining location on the ship with a hefty price tag to go along with the "ritz".  It will cost diners an additional $75.00 each to have a meal here.  The meal starts out with a champagne cocktail, and is followed by 8 to 9 small courses.
There is a dress code for both locations.  Leave your shorts and flip-flops in your stateroom!

Royal Palace- This regal restaurant on the Dream got its inspiration from the classic Disney Animated features like Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast.  It features french inspired continental cuisine at breakfast, lunch and dinner.  There is buffet for breakfast, and full service for lunch and dinner.

Enchanted Garden - This is a picturesque location that seems to be truly enchanted.  The immersive
outdoorsy environment changes from day to night as the meal progresses.  Breakfast is a buffet offered on select days of the cruise, same for lunch.  The daily dinner is a four-course meal of seasonal selections.

Animator's Palate  - Is the top of the line for Disney creativity.  This location is inspired by Disney & Pixar animation.  Here we will find things from an actual animator's studio.  Character sketches, paint brushes, colored pencils, computer work stations, and other tools of the trade.  Scenes and characters from Disney films adorn the walls and one totally awesome 150 year old turtle interacts with guests.  Duuude!!!!

Ladies and gents...this finishes up our Part IV of this segment.  Through all this research, I have learned so much, and will continue to do so as we go on with this series.  Next week, we will cover the "quick service" type dining locations, and the lounges on board the Disney Dream!  Until then, have a great week....and keep floatin!

  1. If you are trying to put pics of the Disney Dream up you need to double check them. Some of these are from the Magic/Wonder and not the Dream.
