Remembering Walt Disney

Today we remember the day that broke hearts all over the world.  Our beloved Walt Disney passed away on this date in 1966.  I was very young, just about to turn 8, and even though I was already familiar with the word death, it was still hard to comprehend.  I am sure even for adults.

Walt, as he preferred to be called, (Not Mr. Disney) was a life changer for so many of us true Disney fans.  It still makes me wonder today what things would have been like in the Disney organization of Walt had not passed so early.  I guess that is something we will wonder forever.

Walt Disney.........gone too soon, but never, ever forgotten.
