FOODIE FRIDAY!

Here we are with our first FOODIE FRIDAY for 2016.  As we begin our countdown for our trip to Disneyland in September, we are going to focus a bit more on the parks of Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure and Downtown Disney.

Some of our focus will be on dining locations and others entries will focus on particular food items.  A few weeks ago we posted about Napa Rose, so if you want to check that out, here is the link to that particular blog post.  http://disneynut1958.blogspot.com/2015/12/foodie-friday-napa-rose-at-disneys.html

Today we begin with Downtown Disney.  An interest of mine as far as art goes has always been the style of Art Nouveau.    The CATAL RESTAURANT & UVA BAR is designed with that genre in mind, particularly the bar area.  At the bar area there is a large wine and tapas bar.  Patrons can drink and dine under the stars in the outdoor bar or indoors.

According to the Disneyland website, "Catal is the ideal eatery for adventurous foodies to share and sample a variety of classic dishes updated with a west-coast-meets-world influence. Whether you stop by the daily Happy Hour from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM or crave a late night snack, the bacon-wrapped dates, tortilla frites (gourmet French fries) and crispy calamari will sate your taste buds".

This looks like an interesting place to check out!  If any of you have been there, please post your comments below.  We would love to know your opinion.
