If you are familiar with the movie MEET THE ROBINSON'S, you will know about "Tiny." It's a play on words of course as a T-Rex is definitely not tiny! He is sent to do a job by the villain of the movie, however, he can't do the job because of his situation.
The Robinson's wind up keeping him as a pet/member of the family.
