FOODIE FRIDAY! A Trip to Walt Disney World is Not Complete Without a Visit to.....

ALOHA ISLE!

Dole Whip........Dole Whip..........We love Dole Whip!

Gotta go at least once....... Located in Adventureland and close to so many attractions we hit when we are there, this is one place we just can't miss for a refreshing snack.

Aloha Isle and Sunshine Tree Terrace swapped locations a couple years ago because of size.  The popularity of the Dole Whip was much more than the Citrus Swirl (which we will talk about next week...because I LOVE THEM), so it really was a no-brainer for this to happen.

We really prefer the Dole Whip Float because of the juice you get as well.  It really is one of the most refreshing treats on a hot day in Magic Kingdom!

One of the smallest menus at any location in the parks........but hey.....what more would you need at a place like this!?!

FOODIE FRIDAY!

So, today I thought we would head over to Hollywood Studios for a counter service location called Catalina Eddie's.  It's one of those places that we have probably walked by 100 times and never stopped.  The menu is limited, but the Chicken Caesar Salad that is pictured on the WDW website looks very good.  I think it's worth a stop next time we are there.

NOT SO WORDLESS WEDNESDAY!

Since I have to explain the photos, I can't really say this is totally WORDLESS WEDNESDAY.......

These are some of my very favorite photos from my 2013 trip to Walt Disney World and EPCOT for the 20th Anniversary of the Flower & Garden Festival.  I love the UK Pavilion anyway, but love the English Tea Garden featured below.

I can't believe it was four years ago when I attended this!  I hope to go again for the festival sometime.

Thanks for taking a peek at my NOT SO WORDLESS WEDNESDAY!

FOODIE FRIDAY! THE BOATHOUSE at Disney Springs!

On a future trip, hopefully in the not to distant future that is............ we really want to dine at

The BOATHOUSE® !

It needs big bold capital letter because from what I understand, this is not to be missed at Disney Springs.  From the list I am coming up with, we would be dining at Disney Springs quite often!

From the Disney website I post the following:

"Surf and Turf, Florida Style

Savor the best of land and sea with fresh seafood, a raw bar, premium steaks, chops and a kids’ menu. Serving day-boat, line-caught seafood and USDA-Certified Gibsons Blue Star Heritage Angus Beef, the Boathouse also features a more casual outdoor menu with an emphasis on sandwiches, burgers and of course lobster rolls! Sweet endings include key lime pie in a mason jar and the gargantuan Gibsons s’mores baked Alaska for 4.
Looking for a brief interlude? Enjoy classic craft cocktails, an extensive wine list and oysters on the half shell at any of 3 bars: the Captain’s Raw Bar, the Admiral’s Club Bar or the Dock Bar, built overlooking the water and 300-plus feet of boardwalk connecting all areas of the restaurant. Inside, 3 beautiful, nautically themed rooms and 2 private dining rooms seat up to 600 Guests.
The Boathouse is managed by the award-winning Gibsons Restaurant Group, internationally celebrated for exceptional food and extraordinary service.

Reservations
Reservations are recommended and can be made up to 180 days prior to your visit. Book online or by calling (407) 939-BOAT."
Serving
Lunch
11:00 AM - 3:55 PM
Dinner
4:00 PM - 11:00 PM
This location at present time DOES NOT participate in the Disney Dining Plan, so this will be an out-of-pocket plan in your budget, and it's pretty expensive.  Birnbaum's 2017 Walt Disney World Official Guidebook states that this is a $$$$ location...meaning pricey, but I think it will be totally worth it!!

The Boathouse Menus are below.
